Woman Stabbed in Detroit, Suspect Charged

Man Accused of Targeting Seniors Nabbed

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police have nabbed a man accused of targeting elderly women and preying on their fear.

“All the ladies that have been reported have been between 66 and 90 years of age,” said Redford Police Det. Sgt. Kevin Crittenden. (They) seem to be targeted due to the fact that they are elderly and are alone.”

Man Accused of Raping Girl Behind Bars

DETROIT (myFOXDetroit.com) – It took Detroit police 19 months to track him down, but the man accused of kidnapping and raping a little girl is behind bars.

Detroit police call it a major arrest. The man is charged with a dispicable crime of sexually assaulting a twelve-year-old girl.

35-year-old Lord Edward-Manwell Johnson (nice fucking name) faces a charge of kidnapping and five counts of sexual assault. He was hiding out since march of 2008 when police say he abducted a young girl from Caldwell and Luce.

He allegedly raped her, then dropped her off at another location from where she walked home.

Police: Man Attempted To Abduct Girl

DETROIT — Police are warning Detroit parents to be on the lookout after an attempted abduction on the city’s west side early Friday morning.

A 17-year-old girl was waiting for the public bus at Plymouth and Hubbell roads at about 6:30 a.m. when a man, who was on his cell phone next to her, grabbed her, police said.

“He was talking on the phone and he was saying how he was going to be late and whatever,” said the victim.

Then the man turned around and tried to attack her, police said.

“He grabbed my scarf and was like, ‘If you run, I am going to shoot you,’” said the teen.

The teen said she was able to break free from the man’s grip and ran home.

The teen described the attacker as a black man in his early 30s and about 6 feet tall with a heavy build. The teen said she noticed that the man had either a glass eye or a cataract.

The attacker was wearing a dark puffy jacket and a skullcap, the teen said.

A Detroit grandmother says her 19-year-old step-grandson raped her on several occasions, and she hopes he is treated the same way in prison.

Fox 2 reports Lee Aaron Moorer will face multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct on Tuesday, and that his step-grandmother will testify against him.

But first, the unidentified victim sat down with the television station to share her story.

“I want everybody to know he’s a rapist, and he’s done it to me more than once,” she told Brad Edwards.

“I allowed him and his mother to live with me, and this is what I get.”

The grandmother said medication she takes makes her groggy, and she woke up recently and saw Moorer pulling up his pants.

In text messages Moorer allegedly sent to his grandmother, he asked her not to tell anyone and threatened suicide.

But the grandmother offered no sympathy.

“I just want him to be violated like he violated me,” she said.  “If he goes to jail, I hope they rape him.  I hope they make him somebody’s princess.  I really do.”
