A federal judge issued a life sentenced today to a high-level drug dealer who hauled cocaine and marijuana to Detroit by the busload and traveled to Mexico to have nine plastic surgeries and his fingerprints removed to avoid identification.

“Mr. Black is without question one of the most cunning, one of the most sophisticated and one of the most dangerous individuals I have ever prosecuted,” Buckley said. “He needs to be in prison for the safety of the community.”
In April 2008, Black offered St. Clair County sheriff’s deputies $11 million to set him free while they were transporting him on I-94 to Detroit.
They declined his offer and: “Black then ripped the screen cage off the van window, and then broke the glass window with his head and shoulder before worming out of the moving van and onto the freeway,” according to a sentencing memorandum filed in federal court. (What a fucking gorilla)

The body of Eric Carter, 37, and the body of another unidentified man were found inside a burgundy Chevy Suburban. Carter’s 11-year-old son, Eric Carter Jr., was also found and taken to Detroit’s Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound. He is critical condition.

Police: Man Forces Family Into Car, Robs Them Of Cash
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — The Southfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man who they said kidnapped and robbed a family at gunpoint Sunday.
Police said the family was putting their children into their car in the parking lot of Northland Mall at about 5:45 p.m. when a man on a bike approached them with a handgun and ordered the family into the car.
Police said the victims were driven to a local ATM and forced to withdraw money.
Police said the man told the family they were targeted because they had children but that he wouldn’t harm them because he himself had grandchildren.
The family was driven to Interstate 96 at Grand River Avenue in Detroit, where police said the man wiped down the car and told the family he had to pay the “dope man” before walking away.
He is described as a black man between 40 and 50 years old, with a thin build, and about 5 feet 2 inches tall. He also possibly had a gold tooth.
He was wearing a black T-shirt, jean shorts, white tennis shoes and a black knit hat with a small brim.
Woman arrested in alleged cash-for-sex party that included her minor daughter
A 39-year-old Detroit woman was arrested this morning after allegedly hosting a cash-for-sex party that involved two minors — one of whom was her daughter — and 19 prostitutes.

Officers also confiscated three handguns and quantities of marijuana, ecstasy pills and heroin, along with several hundred dollars in cash. Approximately 10 vehicles also were impounded.

5 Shot, 4 Dead in Shooting at Detroit House
DETROIT (AP) — Four people were killed and a fifth was critically wounded after a shooting in a northeast side home, police said Tuesday.
Police said the victims were three men, 33, 20 and 22, and a 25-year-old woman. A 30-year-old woman was hospitalized and in critical condition Tuesday morning, Sgt. Alan Quinn said.
Quinn said a large amount of illegal drugs were found in the home.
Police said three men dressed in dark clothing rushed into the home and shot the victims Monday night.
No arrests had been made.
Crack-Smoking Driver Ends Police Chase by Fatally Shooting Self.
LYON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man who police say was smoking a crack pipe and laughing at officers as he led them on highway chase Wednesday ended the pursuit by fatally shooting himself.
The 25-year-old Lansing man shot himself in the temple with a revolver while driving his Chevrolet Blazer eastbound on Interstate 96 in Oakland County’s Lyon Township, according to Livingston County Sheriff Bob Bezotte. The site is about 30 miles west of Detroit.
The suspect’s vehicle crashed into a retaining wall about 4:20 p.m. No one else was injured. His name was not immediately released.
Police said the incident began in Ingham County with reports of a motorist driving erratically, and later involved Livingston County deputies.
Deputies said they saw the man smoking a crack pipe and laughing at them as they signaled for him to pull over, the Livingston County Daily Press and Argus reported on its Web site.
Detroit drug suspects arrested coming from Mexico to Texas
Two men considered fugitives following a federal drug-trafficking indictment that targeted them and other alleged members of an armed gang were arrested by border agents in Texas, authorities said Wednesday.
Michael Moreno, 18, and Hassan Aljibory, 20, were arrested May 24 by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents in El Paso, Texas, authorities said. The two had been at large since a federal indictment unsealed May 4 in U.S. District Court in Detroit charged them and seven other members of the “Detroit Thug Lordz” gang with 16 drug and firearm counts.
The indictment includes 13 counts of distributing crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana between May 2, 2006 and Feb. 13.
Detroit Man Draws 30-Year Prison Term
DETROIT — A man who pleaded guilty to selling heroin laced with a powerful painkiller that killed two people was sentenced Thursday to more than 30 years in prison.
U.S. District Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff sentenced James Edgar Coleman, 36, to 365 months in federal prison. The sentence was the maximum possible penalty for Coleman, who has previous convictions for drug trafficking.
Coleman, of Detroit, admitted he sold the drug cocktail with fentanyl that last year killed Lauren Jolly, 17, and Daniel McElmurry, 30.
Coleman’s plea to two counts of delivering a controlled substance resulting in death was the first related to fentanyl-laced heroin and cocaine that killed more than 100 people in metropolitan Detroit in 2005 and 2006, U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy said.
“He was not the person who mixed the drugs,” Harris said. “Mr. Coleman would not know fentanyl right now if he saw it.”

A Detroit man has been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly bludgeoning his 75-year-old mother to death with a sledgehammer in their west side home.
After trading in his mother’s car for crack cocaine, David McPherson, a state prison parolee, went to the basement of their home on Doris, got a sledgehammer and repeatedly hit his mother in the head, police and prosecutors said Tuesday. He apparently lived with the body until Saturday.
After officers entered the home through the window, they found another woman inside.
She was questioned by homicide officers but not charged.
