Gunmen kill couple in Detroit basement

You know it’s been a while since I posted a good ole’ execution style murder story.

Detroit — Police are seeking two suspects in the shooting deaths Monday night of a couple on the city’s northwest side.

The man and woman, who were believed to be in their 30s, were found in the basement of a home in the 19000 block of Glastonbury, said John Roach, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department.

The man and woman, who were believed to be in their 30s, were found in the basement of a home in the 19000 block of Glastonbury, said John Roach, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department.

The woman’s two young daughters — one of whom was related to the male victim — were upstairs at the time, Roach said.

One of the girls called police after she heard gunshots about 9:50 p.m.

It wasn’t clear how the suspects entered the home, but “there was no sign of forced entry,” Roach said. “It’s possible the victims knew the suspects.”

The male resident died at the scene.

The woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police did not have descriptions of the suspects.
