Police Unveils Detroit’s
New Crime-Fighting Plan
A new program to reduce Detroit homicide and crime rates has resulted in more than 200 arrests in two days.
Detroit Police — working with local, state and federal agencies — made numerous traffic stops, raided drug houses and served warrants on the city’s northeast side as part of Project CRUSADERS.
Police Chief Warren Evans says the effort uses data to steer crackdowns in the city’s crime hotspots. The first sweep began Monday and will continue Wednesday and Thursday.
Evans said the project allows police to use limited resources more efficiently.
Detroit is among the nation’s leading cities in homicide and violent crime rates. Evans estimates that as many as six shootings occur each day in Detroit, where 250 people have been shot and killed so far this year.

You are right, but should anyone stop it? If this is what it takes, so be it. The new chief seems to be right on target, his intentions are honorable and sincere so why complain?

The corruption is not so much the police officers that arrest the low-lifes it’s the prosecutors who can not seem to keep these people off the streets, and also to the judges who accept the excuses that are prevalent throughout the community. It’s a sad state of affairs when people must live in fear instead of the criminals being afraid to actually commit the crimes. Within Detroit there is little or no fear in getting caught for the majority of the heinous crimes that are committed.
This is why it is my firm belief that every able bodied person should carry a sidearm for their own personal protection. It is not difficult for anyone who is not mentally unstable or a convicted felon to get a concealed weapons permit.

Let me ask you this. Assuming I became a christian tomorrow, why should I continue my blog? Why should I continue doing anything when I have an afterlife waiting for me which is 100x better than anything we even have on this earth?
IMO, god was a needed figure in our early development as a species. There were just too many unknowns in the natural world. So many things that could not be easily explained away were very easy to say a supernatural hand in the way things played out. Earthquakes lightning and the like were I'm sure very confusing and also extremely scary when science did not yet exist that could easily explain it in way a normal person could comprehend. Now for instance we know that earthquakes are formed from the movement of tectonic plates that all the surface of the planet is made of. Lightining is the same someone figured out the it is the upper atmosphere releasing its positive charge into the negitively charged earth. Now it seems like common knowledge, but then it was nothing short of a direct hand from god to punish those who disobeyed. So ultimately we have learned ourselves out of the need to have a god.
I personally do not abash my beliefs on others, people have a right to believe whatever bullshit that seems to suite them on that day. Where I get upset is when someone spouts off that you are wrong because thier religion says so, and anything written thousands of years ago could in no way ever possibly be wrong. The only thing that baffles me is all these religous people have prolly never taken the time to read their own holy books let alone to learn an unknown language and read from the original texts that their so called holy books derive from. If god inspired your book and god is infailable why have translations and revisions every few years

the city of Detroit can try to stop crime but it is a waste of time. I grew up in Detroit many years ago, recently went back for a visit and to sight see. Detroit once was a vital, vibrant city with thriving businesses and many recreational centers. It is all gone now. What a cesspool. It looked like a war zone with shuttered stores, vandalism, trash and worse. Just build a wall without a gate around the city and walk away from it.
Evans calls this Task Farce the "Crusaders". Smella Bully Cumming had the same Task Farce and called it the "Night Owls". Before Smella Bully, the previous chief had yet the same Task Force and called them "Reco". This is not a brilliant new idea but rather an old idea renamed. Evans is a crooked motherfucker who hired old Kwame Kilpatrick flunky Ralph Godbee as his Assistant Chief. Its all the same old bullshit, just repackaged and renamed. I guarantee this Task Farce will be disbanded within a year. Goddamn, Detroiters are stupid to keep buying into the same old shit.
