Detroit Police have increased patrols on the city’s east side in their search for a man wanted for kidnapping and sexually assaulting four young women ages 15-18 in separate incidents.

In each instance, police say the suspect — a bald man driving a dark-colored, four-door car when he approached the teens — produced a handgun. The victims were forced into the trunk of a car, driven to a home and raped, then taken back to where they were originally abducted, a police official told the Free Press.

Pair sought in assault, robbery of 87-year-old man
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects who allegedly robbed and assaulted an 87-year-old Detroit man while he was using a restroom at a Kroger store in Royal Oak Township last month.

Around 3 p.m., June 10, Deputies said the 87-year-old man entered the men’s room at the Kroger Store located at 8920 W. Eight Mile Road and was pushed down by a male who is believed to be in his mid-20s.
Deputies said the suspect went through the elderly man’s pockets and stole about $1,000 before running from the bathroom. A woman carrying a baby who is also believed to be in her mid-20s stood outside of the bathroom as a lookout witnesses said.

With a new police chief this may have to be negotiated once again.
