Man, woman killed in carjacking in Detroit
A carjacking on Detroit’s east side turned into a fatal shooting about 2:40 this morning, police said, resulting in the deaths of a 19-year-old woman and 22-year-old man.

Police have not yet released the names of the victims, but they’re asking the public for help in identifying the suspects, who so far are simply described as wearing dark clothing as they walked away from the scene.
The shooting was at the corner of Harper and Norcross.

It can only be hoped that the victims of these mindless thugs were also worthless street thugs. Unfortunately, such is not usually the case. Here in NE Ohio we had a kid get jacked for a Chevy Caprice. At first, I was as ready as anyone to lament it, but then I learned a bit more about the ‘victim.’ He was “an aspiring [white] rapper” and had fathered five children with three different women. The vehicle which was taken was a pimped-out monstrosity with big shiny rims, like some giant mobile carrot being dangled. He should have been given a Darwin Award just for driving that thing in the hood. Again, hopefully this was similar, a case of the stray dogs fighting other stray dogs over scraps.
