Two charged in connection with shooting death and attempted dismemberment of man.
Two men accused of trying to dismember a man they’d just fatally shot have been charged with first-degree murder and mutilating a corpse, Detroit police said today.
The men – 27-year-old Michael Davis and 21-year-old Maurice Jackson – allegedly shot the 40-year-old man over a vehicle the man sold to Davis, police said.
Police said that after the shooting, Davis and Jackson unsuccessfully tried to dismember the body.
Davis and Jackson also face charges of using a firearm to commit a felony, being felons in possession of a firearm and being habitual offenders.

This is my first and last time responding to one of these blogs and I didn’t expect this one to be my first. I came across this page when I was looking for information on the story about the guy being killed after selling a vehicle. You see he was my best friend (the victim). Detroit is in deep trouble as it relates to finances, crime, community maintenance, tourist attractions, political competence….well you get my drift. This fact is only perpetuated when a crime is commited against you or one of your loved ones. I have to admit that yes I’ve thought “Detroit Sucks” on many occasions. Although I don’t profess to know what the answers are, I do know that it’s not hating other races. I won’t call anyone out of their name or disrespect anyone even if that seems to be the spirit of this page. That’s just not who I am. There are many types of crimes and if we calculated all of the numbers and all types of crimes for blacks and whites guess who would come out on top? I Don’t Know! I haven’t done the calculations but if you search real hard I bet there’s someone who has attempted to. The figures you would get are those that were convicted only and not those that are slick enough to get away with it for a season. My point is, evil is in the earth and it can manifest in anyone if you yield to it. Whether it’s a lie on your taxes or a serial killer.
