Armed Robbery Turns Deadly For Delivery Man

Detroit police said a newspaper delivery man was robbed and shot in the leg around 6 a.m. Sunday morning in the area of East Warren Avenue and Cope Street.

The 50-year-old victim later died on the way to the hospital, police said.

A coworker of the victim said this past year five delivery men have been robbed in Detroit. The coworker added he has been robbed twice while working, and Detroit Newspapers do not allow their drivers to carry guns.
