Police: Girl Raped On Way To School

DETROIT — Detroit police are investigating a 13-year-old girl’s claims she was raped in Detroit on her way to school Monday morning.

It happened on Annapolis Road on the city’s west side, an area close to two schools — Drew Middle School and Mackenzie High School.

The girl told police a man pointed a gun at her, dragged her into a nearby garage where he sexually assaulted her. According to police, two others watched.

The man is described as a black male, 19-20 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 130 pounds. He was wearing a white wool hat, blue and black coat and dark jeans.
